What personal data we collect
We only collect personal data that you choose to send us, plus the technical data every website receives:
- Enquiries. When you use a contact form, email us or phone us, we receive the details you give us, such as your name, email address, the subject and your message.
- Newsletter. When you sign up to our newsletter, we receive your email address.
- Server logs. When you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type (user agent) and the pages requested. This is needed to deliver the website and keep it secure.
Please don't send us special category data (for example, health information) through the website.
How we use it and our lawful basis
- Responding to your enquiry. We use your details to reply to you and deal with your request. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract with you.
- Sending our newsletter. We use your email address to send the newsletter you asked for. Our lawful basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter or by emailing us.
- Running and securing the website. Server log data is processed by our hosting provider to deliver pages and protect the site from misuse. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure, working website.
We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not set cookies and does not run analytics or advertising trackers. Our fonts and icons are served from our own website, so loading a page does not send your data to font or icon providers.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our behalf and under our instructions:
- Website hosting: Vercel, which hosts this website and processes the server log data described above.
- Form delivery: form submissions may be delivered to us by a third-party form-delivery provider acting as our processor.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we require appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
- Enquiry details are kept only for as long as we need them to handle your enquiry and any follow-up.
- Newsletter email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.
- Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period in line with its own retention policy.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected (rectification);
- have your data erased;
- restrict how we use your data;
- object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
- receive your data in a portable format (data portability);
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.
